Troubleshooting
Choose an entry based on the symptom you see. After each step, re-check whether the problem is gone; do not change multiple settings at once.
Trackers Not Found by the Software
- Confirm the receiver has its antenna attached and is connected to a USB port on the computer.
- Confirm the trackers are on and sufficiently charged.
- Try another USB port on the computer, avoiding a dock without its own power first.
- Close duplicate SlimeVR instances, then restart the software.
- Check whether the trackers and receiver are still paired and whether the firmware versions match.
Shows Connected but No Movement
- Confirm the corresponding tracker has not auto-powered off or run out of battery.
- Move the tracker closer to the receiver and reduce obstruction.
- Restart the trackers and SlimeVR.
- If the device still does not respond, note the indicator-light state and contact support.
Frequent Dropouts or Motion Delay
- Keep the area around the receiver antenna clear.
- Do not place the receiver behind the computer case or against large metal objects.
- Reduce the distance between the trackers and the receiver.
- Try connecting directly to a USB port on the computer.
- Restart the computer rather than only shutting down and turning it on again.
Body or Feet Facing the Wrong Direction
- Check whether the trackers are assigned to the correct body parts.
- Check whether the left and right devices are swapped.
- Check whether device orientation matches the wearing diagrams.
- Re-run the full reset and wearing calibration.
Drift Is Too Fast
- Confirm the trackers are secured and not sliding on clothing.
- Re-run device calibration.
- Re-run the full reset and wearing calibration.
- Move away from obvious magnetic or mechanical vibration interference.
Can't Crouch or Head Height Is Locked
- Confirm the headset itself moves up and down normally in SteamVR.
- Confirm no tracker is incorrectly assigned to the head, left hand or right hand in SlimeVR.
- In SlimeVR, re-run the full reset and body wearing calibration.
- In VRChat, confirm the real height and full-body tracking settings — see VRChat Setup.
Leg Raise, Kick or Bend Direction Is Wrong
- Check whether the thigh trackers are fixed just above the knee facing forward, rather than on the side of the thigh.
- Check whether the shin, foot and hip devices rotate or slide during movement.
- Verify the left and right assignment in SlimeVR.
- Re-run the full reset and body wearing calibration; if foot trackers are assigned, also run the foot wearing calibration.
Trackers and Model Offset Far Overall
- Stop moving and confirm the straps and chest mount have not shifted.
- In SlimeVR, run a full reset and stay upright until the countdown ends.
- Run the body wearing calibration, then complete the in-game calibration in VRChat.
- If the offset only happens on one model, re-adjust that model's skeleton and re-bind.
A Joint Is Locked or a Body Part Rotates on Its Own
- Check whether the corresponding tracker is still updating in SlimeVR.
- Check whether the tracker at that point is loose, upside down, or assigned incorrectly.
- Restart SlimeVR and the trackers, then re-run the full reset and wearing calibration.
- If it only happens after switching models, check the VRChat model skeleton and full-body tracking nodes.
Cannot Charge
- Confirm the trackers are oriented correctly and fully contact the dock.
- Clean dust and dirt from the charging contacts.
- Use a reliable USB cable and a power source that meets the product label.
- If abnormal heat, bulging or smell appears, stop charging immediately.
Cannot Connect After a Firmware Update
Confirm the tracker and receiver use compatible firmware versions. Do not keep trying different firmware for different models in a row; record the update file name, tool prompts, versions and indicator-light state, then contact support.
Still Not Resolved
Go to Contact Support and prepare the device model, firmware version, system version, SlimeVR version, reproduction steps and video.
