Add or Replace Trackers
Applies when adding extra points, replacing a single tracker, or reconfiguring after the receiver pairing records have been cleared.
Before You Start
- Note down the current tracker, receiver and firmware versions.
- Confirm the new devices are compatible with your existing trackers, receiver and firmware.
- Close SlimeVR first, and keep the receiver with its antenna attached and connected to the computer.
- Do not hold the receiver
SWObutton when the cause is unclear — doing so clears all paired device records.
Re-Pairing
- Power on the tracker you want to add and keep it close to the receiver.
- Put the receiver into pairing mode: quick-press
SWO3 times on the receiver to enter pairing mode; quick-press twice to exit. - Put the tracker into a pairable state: quick-press
SW03 times on the tracker you want to add (or on the charging dock) to reset that tracker's wireless pairing. - Wait for pairing to finish, restart SlimeVR, and check whether the device appears in the tracker list.
- Repeat the steps for each device you need to add; do not repeatedly clear the receiver pairing records.
Pairing-mode indicator lights
While in pairing mode, both the receiver and the tracker show a blinking blue light to indicate they are waiting to pair (the tracker blinks once per second). Once pairing completes, the tracker light switches to green blinking quickly 4 times. Keep the tracker close to the receiver during pairing.
Contact support if unsure
Indicator-light behavior can differ across hardware and firmware. If pairing fails, do not repeatedly clear the receiver records — note the current state and contact support.
Required After Completing
- Assign the new device to the correct body part in SlimeVR.
- Secure the tracker following Assembly & Wearing and confirm its orientation matches other points of the same type.
- Complete the full reset and wearing calibration in Device Calibration.
- After putting on the headset and entering VRChat, check the model skeleton and tracker positions following VRChat Setup.
